Because hourly billing rewards slow work and punishes you for asking questions. A flat monthly price means you can call when something's on your mind without watching the clock, and I'm motivated to make your books efficient.
Volume and complexity: more accounts, more transactions, inventory, multiple locations, or several funds and grants. Your quote spells out exactly what's included so there's nothing to argue about later.
Not if your books are current and reconciled. If there's a backlog, the cleanup is quoted as a separate flat project first, and the monthly plan begins once the books are clean.
